Social Events to be held October 23, 2008 Wichita 2008 Tee Off Recap!
We had committee members present to enlighten everyone on the benefits of being an EWGA member. Our president, Kimberly Schrant, provided opening remarks and introduced this year’s EWGA board. Cameron Michaud, social chair, and Vicky Glennon, social committee member, were responsible for planning the event and were able to help get members involved in other committees and discuss opportunities to help with events on a one-time basis. Vicky was also in charge of obtaining the silent auction items that allowed this event to be “free” to all those in attendance. Thank you to Vicky and Cameron!! Lydia Gillquist, league chair, was present to take Spring League registrations and begin informing members of the schedule for Summer Leagues. Mary Hemmelgarn, membership chair, was present to answer questions and provide information on the perks of becoming an EWGA member. Kim Madison, sponsorship chair, provided information on becoming an EWGA-Wichita Chapter sponsor. Trish Voth, golf education/player development chair, signed up members for our Spring Clinics and Networking Luncheons. Tamra Schuerman, communications chair, and Becky Thomas, executive secretary, were also present to help answer questions and get the year started off with a bang! Billie Monroe was the winner of a one-year EWGA membership!
